‘Large amount’ of silver coins stolen

Detectives with the Oregon State Police (OSP) are continuing their search for two people in an ongoing investigation into the theft of a “large amount” of silver coins, including some coins produced by the Royal Canadian Mint.

Police say the silver was stolen from a residence in Grants Pass, Ore., on or around Aug. 13. The stolen coins include a number of 2015 Silver Maple Leafs as well as several half-ounce U.S. silver eagles; silver U.S. mercury dimes; and silver U.S. Kennedy half dollars.

OSP Detective Annie Harris identified two suspects: James David Lee Hergett, 26; and Todd Murray Beveridge 56.

Anyone who sees the coins or the two individuals should contact the OSP.
