To celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2020, British Columbia’s Abbotsford Police Department ran a competition last autumn asking the city’s students to submit a medal design highlighting one of six themes.
The themes include honour, integrity, service, courage, strength in community and leadership.
The competition closed on Nov. 3, and six winning medal designs were chosen with the winners receiving a letter from Chief Constable Mike Serr plus a plaque with the full six-piece series mounted on it.
The winning designs will be announced in early spring via abbypd.ca.
